about

A story of those who live and die in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. From the Disposition album Requiem For The Living.

lyrics

Tenderloin by Lynn Gentry

The hardened path
That some may grasp
When they need
A place to stay
Beneath these walls
We’ll walk and crawl
For here is all
That we can pay

Where some are slipping into darkness
Where some have chose to hideaway
In hopes that they might be forgotten
For all misdeeds of yesterday

Night falls
On day
Death holds
All’s fate

Castles of stone
Leave us alone
For if we need
We’ll just eat cake
Construct amidst
Within fates twist
Beneath these layers
We’ll pass away

Where some are slipping into darkness
Where some have chose to hideaway
In hopes that they might be forgotten
For all misdeeds of yesterday

Night falls
On day
Death holds
All’s fate

Solo

Night falls
On day
Death holds
All’s fate

In late 2011, The Disposition went into the studio to continue Requiem for the Living. ... more
